The line-up of the Fania All Stars drew on all the greats from Fania Records, including Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri, Larry Harlow, Ricardo Ray, Bobby Cruz, Hector Lavoe, Ray Barretto, Pete ‘El Conde’ Rodriguez and Ruben Blades. The label was founded in 1964 in New York and came to define salsa, making many of its artists into international stars.
